Why Enrol?
This course provides an essential introduction to the structured grooming techniques necessary for professional grooming.
With small class sizes, you’ll benefit from personalised instruction and support from Angela and the CAGIA teaching team, ensuring a positive and effective learning experience.
The course is held in a professional setting, free from the pressures of daily salon operations, allowing you to focus entirely on developing your skills.
Open for Enrolment
This two-day intensive has been designed primarily as an introductory short course for those who have completed CAGIA’s beginner course, Foundations of Dog Grooming, and are looking to take the next step in their grooming education and elevate their skills. “Introduction to Structure and Style”, hosted by Master Groomer and CAGIA co-founder, Angela Anderson ICMG, offers a comprehensive glimpse into the advanced grooming techniques that will be expanded upon in CAGIA’s second full course offering, Grooming for Structure and Style set to launch in 2025 and intended as a follow-on course from Foundations of Dog Grooming.
Tools and Equipment
Bring all your own grooming tools (clippers, scissors, brushes, blades, grooming table, etc.) and any additional equipment needed for the practical sessions.
You will receive a list of essential grooming tools and recommended makes and models before the event.
Please bring refreshments for a 30-minute break at 12.30 pm.
Requirements
Bring your own fully prepped dog on both days - fully washed, dried and brushed out etc..
Dogs must have plenty of hair to allow for comprehensive grooming practice. As this course begins to delve into breed-style grooming, it is encouraged students bring a breed of dog they would like to learn more on. Please note this encouraged, but not essential. Many breed styles can be adapted and incorporated in pet trims, which is why a decent coat length is most important when selecting your dog for each day.

Day Two: 9.30 am set-up for a 10.00 am start, till 3.30 pm
