THE FOUNDERS
Angela Anderson
Founder of “Angels Grooming Academy” in New Zealand and grooming business course, “Grooming 4 Profit”, Angela has been grooming since 2000 and is a Nationally Certified Master Groomer (NCMG), and New Zealand’s first ever Internationally Certified Master Groomer (ICMG). Angela Anderson is well-known in Australia, where she is often invited to conduct seminars, workshops, judging assignments and more. Born in Victoria, Australia, a young Angela moved with her family to New Zealand and in 2000, she studied to be a dog groomer and her life changed completely.
As well as grooming dogs, Angela also loves to groom cats and rabbits. Having won many awards in grooming and competing for New Zealand, she was a member of GroomTeam New Zealand in the role of “Terrier Hand Stripper”, travelling between New Zealand and Australia, as well as the World Champs in Spain. Later when judging assignments made it impractical to continue competing, she became manager of GroomTeam so she could mentor others.
Angela’s passion for teaching shines through her grooming academies, where almost all of her students achieve or surpass their grooming career goals. Passion, care, knowledge and accountability are all things that Angela promotes and they are also exactly what CAGIA stands for.

Charlotte Butler
Local groomer and co-owner of Barking Butler Grooming Studio, Charlotte leads a team of professional pet groomers in Perth through her passion for raising pet grooming quality standards and helping dog owners care for their beloved furry family members through grooming education. Charlotte was drawn to dog grooming initially thanks to her two Havanese, who years ago, needed a knowledgeable and kind groomer to invest in their grooming care, and in Charlotte as a pet owner. After trying many different grooming experiences, Charlotte just knew that she needed to upskill, and be a small part of the change she wanted to see in the grooming world, starting work right away to make her grooming journey a reality.
Once a well-intentioned grooming customer with two matted dogs sporting rather unflattering haircuts, Charlotte is now passionate about groomer and owner education and inspiring gorgeous pet grooms. Suffice to say, Charlotte’s two Havanese have never looked or felt better!
A big believer in always learning and growing professionally, Charlotte’s work supporting the WA grooming community as the 2022/2023 President of the Dog Groomers Association of Western Australia reflects her passion for ensuring those entering the grooming industry are supported to thrive.
